Terms of Service

Welcome to Blurr. By using the Blurr app ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. What Blurr Does

Blurr is a photo curation app that helps you intentionally manage your device's photo library through a daily review ritual. You decide which photos to keep, delete, or share. Blurr processes photos locally on your device and does not upload your photos to any server.

2. Account Registration

To use Blurr, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.

3. Subscription and Pricing

Free trial: New users receive a 3-day free trial to experience the full app.
Subscription: After the free trial, continued access requires a subscription at $2.99 per month (USD).
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew each month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Payment: All payments are processed through Apple's App Store. Blurr does not directly handle your payment information.
Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policies.

4. Your Photos and Data

You retain full ownership of your photos at all times.
Blurr accesses your photo library only with your permission and processes photos entirely on your device.
When you swipe to delete a photo in Blurr, the photo is moved to your device's "Recently Deleted" folder, where it can be recovered within 30 days (as managed by your device's operating system).
Blurr is a tool to help you curate your library. You are responsible for your decisions about which photos to keep or delete.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or infrastructure
Share your account credentials with others
Create multiple accounts to abuse free trial offers

6. Biometric Authentication

Blurr offers optional Face ID and Touch ID authentication for faster login and app privacy protection. Biometric data is handled entirely by your device's secure hardware (Apple's Secure Enclave). Blurr never receives, stores, or transmits your biometric data.

7. Push Notifications

Blurr offers optional daily reminder notifications to encourage your curation habit. These notifications are scheduled locally on your device. You can configure the reminder time or disable notifications entirely in the App's settings or through your device's notification settings.

8. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the App. Deleting your account will permanently remove all your data from our servers, including your profile, curation history, and any associated records. This action is irreversible. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription - please cancel your subscription through Apple before deleting your account.

9. Limitation of Liability

Blurr is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We are not responsible for any photos deleted as a result of using the App. You make all curation decisions.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding any claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules.
